Chelsea confirms njury to two first team players

Chelsea Football Club have released the list of injured players ahead of the Premier League game against Aston Villa.

Chelsea have been a victim of injuries to its key players since the Blues released the list on its official website on Friday, April 26, 2024. In the latest development of injured players, Carney Chukwuemeka and Raheem Sterling will not be available for selection.

Pochettino said,

"Sterling suffered a pain in his lower back. Carney feels something in his knee related to his problem before. I hope it's not a big issue and he can be available as soon as possible."

However, there is good news for the team as they will be having the presence of Cole Palmer back in the squad who missed out on the game against Arsenal due to illness.

Robert Sanchez – in partial team training.

Lesley Ugochukwu – in partial team training.

Enzo Fernandez – early stages of recovery following successful groin surgery.

Ben Chilwell – undergoing rehabilitation programme.

Malo Gusto – undergoing rehabilitation programme.

Wesley Fofana – continuing to undergo his rehabilitation programme.

Romeo Lavia – continuing to undergo his rehabilitation programme.
