Chelsea confirm the signing of Jordan Henderson

Chelsea have officially announced the signing of Jordan Henderson, with the experienced England midfielder joining the Blues on a free transfer.

The 36-year-old has signed a two-year contract at Stamford Bridge after leaving Brentford, becoming one of Chelsea's latest additions ahead of the 2026/27 season. Henderson arrives with a wealth of experience, having enjoyed a trophy-laden career that includes Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, and EFL Cup titles.

Henderson's leadership qualities are expected to provide a valuable boost to Chelsea's young squad under head coach Xabi Alonso. Speaking after completing the move, he expressed his excitement about joining the West London club and revealed that Chelsea's ambition and the opportunity to work under Alonso played a major role in his decision.
