Chelsea and Arsenal suffer major player setback in June 2024 transfer campaign

Reports now indicate that the June 2024 transfer campaign of both Chelsea and Arsenal have suffered a huge setback as the main player target for both clubs has opted out of a potential move to the Premier League ahead of the 2024/2025 season.
RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko who is the main transfer target for both Arsenal and Chelsea in the summer 2024 window has opted for a contract extension with the German side as opposed to a potential move to England ahead of the new club football season.
Sky Sports made this confirmation in their latest news report that read, "Benjamin Sesko was linked to a host of Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United; the RB Leipzig forward will be staying at his current club next season, with the German side set to hand the 21-year-old with a new contract."
A contract extension with RB Leipzig would mean an increase from his initial buyout clause fee of 55 million pounds. Chelsea June 2024 transfer plans seem to be suffering a huge setback with this latest decision and it remains to be seen if they have other targets to take on the forward role.
