Chelsea Football Club and Victor Osimhen have reportedly reached an agreement on a deal within a few hours of the end of the 2024 summer transfer window.

Sky Sport Italian-based journalist, Rudi Galeti confirmed in a post on his official X account, that Chelsea and Victor Osimhen have both reached an agreement after it was reported that he has ruled out the possibility of going to Saudi Arabia. He also confirmed that Napoli expects a better offer from the Blues which is better than their initial proposal of loan move for the rest of the season.

Talksports chief correspondent, Ben Jacobs also corroborated the news in his post on his official X account on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. According to the Englishman, Napoli are under the impression that a permanent bid from Chelsea will arrive for Victor Osimhen following fresh meetings.

The Italian club believe their drop in asking price has persuaded Chelsea to pursue a non-temporary formula. The Blues will only proceed on strict terms and are in a stronger position since PSG, who Osimhen has agreed to terms with, seemed to have lost interest in the Nigerian.

There are also reports that Osimhen can become one of the top earners at Chelsea but has to accept the incentive-driven wage structure. Otherwise, the Blues will move on to other targets that are available in the transfer market.

On the other hand, Al-Hilal are looking to open talks with Brentford for Ivan Toney, this also points to the direction that Osimhen could be heding to Stamford Bridge.
