Injury Torn Champions, France Release World Cup Squad 2022
Injury-torn France has confirmed its FIFA World Cup 2022 squad list ahead of the event scheduled to kick off in Qatar.
France will begin their World Cup 2022 title defence in November 2022, and the head coach Didier Deschamps has confirmed his squad ahead of the event.
The French national side would miss key players such as N'Golo Kante and Paul Pogba, who had been very influential in their historic 2018 World Cup victory in Russia. Deschamps has been forced to dig deep in the midfield but would receive a boost as Karim Benzema would be representing France for the first time in the World Cup after his suspension from the squad.
France would take on Australia in its first game in Group D on the 22nd of November 2022, a match in which the star-studded squad must win to have a foothold early into the competition.
