Cesar Azpilicueta breaks down in tears as he bids goodbye to Chelsea supporters

It was an emotional day for most Chelsea supporters around the world and also members of the backroom staff when Cesar Azpilicueta announced his departure from the club.
Chelsea Football Club announced the exit of Cesar Azpilicueta on its official website on Thursday, July 6, 2023. The Spaniard leave the club after spending 11 years at the Stamford Bridge club where he won every major trophy that was available to him during his stay at the club.
The 33-year-old leaves Chelsea as a free agent to join Atletico Madrid despite having a year left on his contract with the Blues. Azpi as he is popularly called broke down in tears as he bid his final goodbye to supporters of the club.
The defender joined Chelsea from Marseille during the 2012 summer transfer window. He won two Premier League titles, FA Cup and League Cup, and the Europa League.
Azpilicueta lifted the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup, and for the first time in Chelsea history, the FIFA Club World Cup as captain of the club. He is one of just six players to have won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup.
