The Australian Open men’s final delivered everything tennis fans hoped for as Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic went head-to-head on the grand stage at Rod Laver Arena.

It was a clash between youth and experience, power and precision
and by the end of a gripping four-set battle, it was Alcaraz who stood tall as the new champion in Melbourne.

Djokovic started the final like a man determined to protect his fortress. The Serbian legend dictated play early, using his trademark depth and consistency to take the opening set 6–2. His movement looked sharp, his returns relentless, and for a moment it felt like another Australian Open title was within reach for the multiple-time champion.

However, Alcaraz responded with maturity well beyond his years. The Spaniard raised his intensity in the second set, increasing his aggression and mixing heavy groundstrokes with perfectly timed drop shots.

This move paid off as he levelled the match 6–2, swinging the momentum firmly in his favour and energising the Melbourne crowd.

Alcaraz’s amazing run and shot-making began to wear Djokovic down, especially in longer rallies. Breaking serve at a crucial moment, the Spaniard claimed the set 6–3, putting himself one set away from history.

Djokovic fought hard to reset, but Alcaraz’s confidence continued to grow with every point. Both players pushed each other to the limit. Djokovic dug deep, trying to force a decider, but Alcaraz held his nerve in the biggest moments.

A late break sealed a 7–5 set and with it, the championship, as Alcaraz dropped to the court in celebration. This victory saw Alcaraz become the youngest tennis player to win all four Grand Slams at the age of 22.
