Carabao Cup: Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal get easy third round draw

The organisers of the Carabao Cup have confirmed the third-round draw for the competition, this phase will see the top Premier League teams compete for the first trophy of the season in England.

Defending Champions, Liverpool will begin the defence to win the competition with back-to-back victories against West Ham in the third round of the competition. Chelsea will meet League Two Barrow at Stamford Bridge, while AFC Wimbledon who defeated Premier League Ipswich on penalties in the second round will host Newcastle.

Arsenal face League One Bolton Wanderers at Emirates Stadium, with Manchester United welcoming Barnsley to Old Trafford whilenerieigning Premier League champions Manchester City will take on Championship Watford at Etihad Stadium.

When is the third round fixtures?

The games will take place in the weeks commencing 16 and 23 September, 2024,
