The Cameroonian Football Federation ( FECAFOOT) have announced the suspension of 62 players who were accused of age falsification.

The shocking name on the list of players was Nathan Douala, who claimed he was 17 years old at the just concluded Africa Cup of Nations which was hosted in Ivory Coast. The official list of the players was released by FECAFOOT, however the real age of Douala has not been mentioned by the federation. He was a surprise inclusion in Rigobert Song's squad for the 2023 AFCON.

According to FECAFOOT, the captain of Victoria United skipper lied about his age, and therefore have disqualified the player from appearing in the Elite League's play-off games.

This drastic decision came in as a result of the federation's goal to clam down on the issues that is previously affecting the country in its age grade competitions.
