Bukayo Saka sheds light on his Nigerian heritage

Arsenal's midfielder, Bukayo Saka has never hidden his love for the Nigerian part of his heritage whenever he has the power to speak about his history.

The England international was speaking in an interview with the BBC where he spoke about the meaning of his name. According to Bukayo Saka, he loves both sides of his history which are the British and Nigerian sides, with both his parents coming from Nigeria.

What did Saka say his Nigeria heritage?

The English International was speaking in an interview with BBC Five’s Football Daily Show, Saka was questioned about his Nigerian heritage.

"It means a lot to me [his Nigerian heritage] Obviously growing up with Nigerian parents but I grew up in this country, so both sides mean a lot to me."

What is the meaning of Bukayo Saka?

Saka said that the name was given to him his grand mother which means joy.

“It means added joy, I like my name. If I remember correctly, I think my grandma have it to me. I have to double-check with my parents, but I think I'm right."

Saka has not failed to show his love and dedicated to England as he has always given his best whenver he was invited to the Three Lions camp.
