Brighton confirm the signing of Argentina's wonderkid

Brighton and Hove Albion are one of the teams in the Premier League that are in the business of signing players this January transfer window.

The Seagulls confirmed the arrival of Argentine teenage sensation Valentin Barco from Boca Juniors on its official website on Saturday, January 20, 2024. According to the club, he signed a. four-and-a-half-year contract which will keep him at the club until 208June 2028.

The 19-year-old arrives in Brighton having made 35 appearances for the Boca Juniors. He also helped the club reach last year's Copa Libertadores Final.

Valentin represented Argentina up to under-23 level, whom he made his debut for in December, and is currently on international duty at the CONMEBOL qualifiers ahead of this summer's Paris Olympic Games.
