Brighton's midfielder, Moises Caicedo has been the centre of conversation since the start of the 2023 transfer window.

The CEO of the club, Paul Barber was speaking in an interview where he was asked about the situation of the player. According to him, Moises Caicedo is still contracted with Brighton, but the club understands that there is a lot of interest in the midfielder, which has the possibility of unsettling him.

"That interest is inevitably going to have an impact on your thought process and unsettle you a little bit and we understand that but for now he is a Brighton player, he is expected to work hard and prepare for the new season."

He was asked if Caicedo would be available for Brighton's game against Luton Town.

He said,

"That is a question for Zerbi and Moises, himself, he had a hamstring, which was precautionary but the window is still long, and we love to keep but we see where we are."

The Ecuadorian has been linked with a possible move to Chelsea but the Seagulls rejected every bid submitted by the Blues as they are not ready to lower their asking price of £100 million.
