Benfica Manager Gives Update on Enzo Fernandez's Future

The future of Argentina's teenage sensation, Enzo Fernandez at the just concluded Qatar 2022, FIFA World Cup is still in doubt.

Benfica's coach, Roger Schmidt, expressed his confidence that the South American will remain with the club despite offers from Chelsea. He said he does not expect Fernandez to leave the club.

I am confident on Enzo staying with us, yes. I see him very happy, in great condition. I don’t expected any player in our starting XI to leave the club now.

Chelsea are still trying to get the midfielder before the end of the January transfer window. The asking price for Benfica is nothing less than £100 million which is the player's buy-out clause.
