The director of Bayern Munich, Hasan Salihamidžić has spoken about the recent situation that concerns the future of Robert Lewandowski at the club.

Hasan who was speaking in an interview with Bild said, he has spoken with the Polish player as it concerns the interview he granted last week. According to him, he reaffirmed the stand of the club to the forward man when the pair spoke over the phone.

Lewandowski called me. Among other things, we spoke about his public statements. I clearly explained our position regarding his contract situation.

Lewandowski has insisted that he is ready to leave Bayern Munich and Barcelona seems to be his most preferable option. The Polish man wants the Bundesliga club to make a profit from his transfer deal but Bayern are keen on keeping him until the end of his contract which expires next season.

Bayern are however looking at the possibility of signing Sadio Mane from Liverpool who also wants to leave the Anfield club.
