The Spaniard came from two sets down to beat Russia's Daniil Medvedev in a thrilling game of tennis. Medvedev took the first two sets of the final game in style but Nadal showed class in the remaining sets of the game.

The game did not have much difference between both players as they gave their all in every game of the tennis match. Nadal won the third and fourth sets in 62 and 64 minutes respectively. The fifth set was keenly contested between both players but Nadal came out top.

This victory means Nadal has surpassed Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer who are still on 20 Grand Slam titles. This is also Nadal's second Australian Open title after 13 years.
