Atletico Madrid President Gives Update on Joao Felix's Future at Chelsea

The future of Joao Felix at Chelsea Football Club is still in doubt following the expiration of his loan deal at the end of this season.

The Portuguese international joined the Blues during the 2023 January transfer window on a six-month loan deal. However, there are reports that Chelsea might decide to sign the midfielder on a permanent contract when the summer transfer window opens on July 1st, 2023.

Atletico Madrid President, Enrique Cerezo confirmed in an interview with Marca that a decision has not been taken as it concerns Felix. He said a lot will be considered at the end of the season, a decision that will involve all the major parties ( Chelsea, Atletico, and Felix).

We don’t know what will happen to Joao in the summer. At the moment he is at Chelsea. Then we see if he can renew or not; he can continue another season or not… but don’t worry about that.

The 23-year-old has scored three goals for the Blues, he will look to get more goals before for season comes to an end.
