Mikel Arteta gives the latest update on Kai Havertz's head injury
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an update on German star Kai Havertz following a serious head injury.
Following a gut-wrenching head Collison in the UCL fixture against Inter Milan, Arsenal's Arteta has given the latest update on Kai Havertz.
Arteta addressed Havertz’s condition after the player suffered a severe head injury during Arsenal's Champions League clash with Inter. Late in the match, which saw Arsenal narrowly lose 1-0 at San Siro, Havertz collided with fellow German Yann Bisseck in an aerial challenge. Both players were fully focused on the ball, leading to a tangled fall to the ground. Havertz, bleeding from a head wound, was forced off the field for medical attention, raising concerns about a potential absence from upcoming matches.
When asked about Havertz’s availability, Arteta remarked: “Kai Havertz had a significant cut; hopefully, he’ll be OK for the weekend.” He also clarified, “No, he wasn’t concussed; he felt unwell yesterday, so I decided to take him off as I needed him at 100%.”
