The Athletic confirmed the news on its official website, according to the news, the English man is expected to get himself on the bench for the game against the Gunners. Ralf Rangnick is expected to allow Maguire not start the game to ease of the pressure from the fans of the Red Devils.

Maguire received a bomb threat in his home earlier this week via an email threatening him to drop the club's captain armband. However, his home where he stays with his fiancee and two children was checked by the Cheshire Police.

The Police released a statement after making a sweep on the player's home confirming that no evacuation was made after the incident was reported.

No evacuations took place, but as a precautionary measure a police explosives dog has attended the address this afternoon, Thursday, 21 April, to conduct a search of the gardens and surrounding area

Maguire has been on the wrong side of the divide with Manchester United fans as he is been blamed for all the defensive problems that the club is currently going through.
