Arsenal’s injured players ahead of Tottenham Hotspur clash

Arsenal will face Tottenham Hotspur in a blockbuster North London Derby with Igor Tudor leading the line since the sack of Thomas Frank.
Arsenal are heading into the game with injury concerns to some of their key players which has been a big blow in recent weeks. These injuries have caused Arsenal to drop points for the most part of this calendar year.
Mikel Arteta will be desperate to have as many key players available as possible. However, the Gunners head into the clash with a few notable absentees and some late fitness tests that could shape the starting XI for this crucial encounter.
One of the biggest blows is the absence of Kai Havertz, who remains sidelined with a muscular injury. The German international has been an important attacking outlet this season, offering versatility across the front line and midfield.
Another player who has been out for a while is Mikel Merino who has also been ruled out following foot surgery. The Spaniard’s long-term injury has already forced tactical reshuffles in recent weeks, and the derby will be no different.
Merino's composure and physical presence in the middle of the park will certainly be missed against a Spurs side known for its intensity and quick transitions.
There are also a couple of fitness concerns that will be monitored closely before kickoff as thei4 fitness is yet to be decided. Leandro Trossard is a doubt after picking up a knock in Arsenal’s previous outing, while Bukayo Saka appears likely to be fit despite a minor scare earlier in the week.
Arsenal supporters will hope their key stars recover in time to ensure they head into the derby at near full strength.
