The first player rumoured to be making an exit from Arsenal in the June 2024 transfer window has been confirmed according to recent reports.

Reports have confirmed that a French side has made a £20m bid for Arsenal's Eddie Nketiah in a speculated June 2024 transfer move making him the first player linked with an exit out of the club ahead of a new season.

Amidst the summer transfer window buzz, Arsenal striker, Eddie Nketiah finds himself at the heart of speculations this summer, with French team, Olympique de Marseille pushing to get the 25-year-old striker’s signature. However, Arsenal are requesting a higher bid for the striker, as the English team is said to be demanding £40-50m.

Despite his limited play time last season, Nketiah managed to score five goals and make two assists in 27 league appearances, even though his appearances last season were mostly off the bench. Even though his contract with Arsenal runs until 2027, Nketiah is reportedly open to the idea of moving to Marseille this summer for the promise of more regular first-team football.

Arsenal are however in no hurry to sell off the striker as their technical director, Edu Gaspar has emphasised the need to retain players that are influential to the team in order to maintain the squad’s competitive edge and ensure that they remain top contenders for trophies, domestically and internationally.
