The supporters of the Premier League will watch Arsenal vs Chelsea which is always one of the most anticipated London derby.

This rivalry between both sides always go beyond the game on the pitch, it also has to do with bragging rights about who is the best and most decorated tèam in London. Arsenal currently sit in second place, 15 points behind Liverpool, as they are eyeing a Champions League spot. Meanwhile, Chelsea occupies the fourth position, as they continue in their quest to secure to finish in the top four which will be considered as an achievement for the Blues.

Recent form:

Arsenal's recent form has been with mixed emotions for the supporters, with a 1-1 draw against Manchester United and a remarkable 9-3 aggregate victory over PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League.

However, injuries to some of their key players like Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka has been a big blow to Mikel Arteta's quest to see his side challenge for the title.

The 1-0 defeat to West Ham in their last Premier League home game was Arsenal’s first in the league this season, they have not lost back-to-back home games since April 2022. The last time they did so at home was in 2005-06 at Highbury, losing to Chelsea and West Ham.

Chelsea have been poor in the Premier League until recently when they secrured victories against Southampton, Leicester City and Copenhagen in the Europa Conference League. The Blues are now winless in their past six away league games, losing four and getting two draws.

The Blues’ last four victories have all come at Stamford Bridge failing to win away from home since their 4-3 success at Tottenham in early December. They have lost each of their last three on the road as many as in the previous 19 games.

Team News:

  • Arsenal will miss Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, and Takehiro Tomiyasu due to injuries.
  • The players on Chelsea's injury list include Nicolas Jackson, Noni Madueke, Romeo Lavia, and Marc Guiu.

Head-to-Head: ( Arsenal vs Manchester United)

  • Arsenal are unbeaten in their past six games against Chelsea, winning four and two ended in a draw.
  • The Gunners have won the past two meetings at the Emirates, since a 0-2 Chelsea win in August 2021.
  • Chelsea have lost their last two away league games against Arsenal, including a 5-0 defeat in this exact fixture last season. They last lost three such games in a row between 2001 and 2003.
  • They played out a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge in the reverse fixture in November, with Pedro Neto equalising after Gabriel Martinelli had put Arsenal in front.

Prediction:

Arsenal will win the game 3-1, this is because of Chelsea's poor form in recent games and away-from-home.
