Arsenal fans are reportedly set to see one of their defenders leave the Emirates before the 2023 summer transfer window closes.

Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed this on his official Twitter account on Monday, August 28, 2023. According to him, Arsenal's Rob Holding is expected to leave the club before the transfer window shuts down.

The England international is yet to feature for the Gunners since the 2023/24 season kicked off. According to reports he has fallen down the pecking order at the club despite being able to play at centre-back and right-back.

The 27-year-old had just 24 games for Arsenal across all competitions last season (2022/23). He joined Arsenal from Bolton Wanderers in 2016 and has featured in 162 games since then, scoring five times.

The Gunners started the 2023-24 Premier League campaign with victories in their opening two games and a draw which came in the game against Fulham. They face Manchester United next before the International break.
