Arsenal and Manchester City unveil their kits for the 2024/25 season
The two Premier League rivals, Arsenal and Manchester City, have unveiled their new home kits for the upcoming 2024/25 football season.
Both teams released their kits on their official websites on Thursday, May 16, 2024. Arsenal's new home kit features a white, silhouetted image of a cannon on the chest, paying homage to the club's history. The cannon is a reference to the Gunners' earliest roots as a football club, which was formed by workers at the Royal Arsenal ammunition and munitions factory in Woolwich, south London, in 1886. This emblem has been a staple of their badge since its first incarnation in 1888.
On the other hand, Manchester City's new 2024-25 home kit from manufacturers Puma features the number "0161" in the trim details of the jersey, representing the local phone dialing code of the city of Manchester. Additional details on the jersey's flanks break up the block sky-blue color, making it unmistakably Manchester City.
Both teams are focused on securing victories in their upcoming games. Arsenal, currently two points behind leaders Manchester City, is hoping to win the title for the first time in 20 years. Meanwhile, City is aiming to win the title for a fourth consecutive time.
Arsenal will host Everton, needing a win and hoping that City do not claim victory at home against West Ham United to secure the title.
