Former Chelsea and Tottenham manager, Antonio Conte could return to coaching sooner than expected as he is being linked to Serie A champions, Napoli.

Transfer news expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed on his official X account on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, that Napoli have reached out to Antonio Conte. According to reports, discussions are ongoing to see if he can be the right man to replace Rudi Garcia who was recently appointed during the 2023 summer break.

"Napoli have formally approached Antonio Conte today. Discussions will follow with direct talks to understand if he can be the right man to replace Rudi Garcia.
No final decision made yet as there are many crucial points to discuss before advancing with Conte."

Conte led Inter Milan to winning the Scudetto during the 2020/21 season, the club's first in 11 years, a victory which ended Juventus' nine-year dominance as Italian champions.

However, Napoli have struggled to replicate the form they had last season which they had under Luciano Spaletti. They are currently in fifth place with 14 points which is seven points behind group leaders AC Milan who have enmassed 21 points having played eight matches.
