Anthony Joshua Reveals Who He Wants next Following His Victory over Jermaine Franklin
Nigerian- born British boxer, Anthony Joshua has reacted to his victory over Jermaine Franklin in one of the most important fights of his career.
The former heavyweight Champions won the fight after 12 rounds by unanimous decision of 118-111, 117-111, and 117-111 on the scorecards of the three judges in this non-title fight. Joshua expressed his dissatisfaction that he was not able to win the fight by technical knockout.
It was important to win. Jermaine has a good duck and dive style, somebody else from Britain will probably knock him out; respect him, he did well I should have knocked him out but it is done. On to the next. He is here to prove himself, not roll over. I wish I could have knocked him out.
However, Joshua confirmed after the fight that he is looking forward to facing the current heavyweight Champion, Tyson Fury, or Deontay Wilder in his next fight.
I will try and provide for the fans, I know who they want. They said Tyson Fury; the ball is in his court. I would be honoured to fight for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world. If he’s listening, he knows my promoter; we’ve had dialogue before, so let’s continue this. We ain’t getting any younger.
This is Joshua's 25th win in his 28th Professional boxing match.
