The rumoured first player target for Manchester United's January 2025 transfer window under Ruben Amorim's new leadership has been revealed.

As Manchester United football fans await a new era under Ruben Amorim, reports have indicated that the Portuguese international is already making possible player transfer moves ahead of the January 2025 transfer window.

Manchester United have reportedly made inquiries about Bayern Munich's Leroy Sané, with the German winger potentially nearing an exit from the Allianz Arena.

Following a difficult start to the season, Manchester United parted ways with Erik ten Hag and appointed Sporting CP's Ruben Amorim as their new head coach. In an effort to support Amorim’s vision, the club is now looking to strengthen its attack in the January transfer window.

According to BILD, United have contacted Bayern about Sané’s availability this January, though the winger could also become available as a free agent in the summer of 2025. Antony is United’s primary option on the right wing, while Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho favour the left side, highlighting the need for additional right-wing options.

Meanwhile, Arsenal, managed by Mikel Arteta, are also interested in signing Sané, though there’s a possibility he may choose to extend his contract with Bayern Munich, a decision that could alter Arsenal’s transfer strategy.
