Amad Diallo explains his decision to extend Man United contract
Following weeks of speculations about his future at Man United, forward, Amad Diallo has extended his contract with the Red Devils.
Manchester United forward Amad Diallo has signed a contract extension which would see him commit his future to the Red Devils until 2030.
The 22-year-old forward, who recently netted a late equalizer in a 2-2 draw with Premier League leaders Liverpool, has earned the new deal following an impressive season. In December, he also delivered a dramatic 90th-minute winner in a 2-1 victory over Manchester City.
In the club’s announcement on Thursday, Diallo expressed his ambitions, saying, "I have had some incredible moments with this club already but there is so much more to come. I have huge ambitions in the game and I want to achieve history at Manchester United."
Since joining from Atalanta in 2021, Diallo has had loan spells at Rangers and Sunderland before breaking into United's first team last season. This term, he has made 26 appearances, contributing six goals and seven assists in what has been a challenging campaign for the club.

Reflecting on the season, Diallo remained optimistic: "It has been a difficult season for everyone, but I fully believe that we are on the right path and the future is going to be really special. I am ready to give everything to help the team and make our supporters proud again."
Known for his knack for crucial late goals, Diallo famously scored in extra time last season to secure a 4-3 FA Cup quarterfinal victory over Liverpool.
Manchester United’s technical director, Jason Wilcox, praised Diallo’s growth and contributions: "Everyone is delighted with Amad’s development; his quality on the ball, versatility, and determination makes him a key part of the future of Manchester United."
