#AFCON2021: Nine #TeamSenegal Players Test Positive for Covid-19

The Senegalese team have suffered a huge depleted team ahead of their opening game against Zimbabwe on Monday, January 10th, 2022 at the African Cup of Nations ( AFCON ).

Nine players of the team tested positive for Coronavirus in the latest round of test done for the players and members of staff. The players who are currently isolating are Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, Famara Diedhiou, Saliou Ciss, Bamba Dieng, Mame B Thiam, Pape M. Sarr, Nampalys Mendy, Alfred Gomis.

The Terenga Lions will aalso be without injured Ismalia Sarr and Abdoulaye Seck. The players who trained today ( Saturday) are Abdou Diallo, Idrissa Gueye, Pape Gueye, Alioune Badara Faty, Keita Balde, Fode Ballo-Toure, Cheikhou Kouyate, Bouna Sarr, Seny Dieng, Sadio Mane, Pape Abou Cisse, Ibrahim Mbaye, Habib Diallo, Boulaye Dia,Joseph Name and Moustapha Lopy.
