AFCON 2023: Super Eagles injury update ahead of clash against Cote d'Ivoire

Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has given an update on the fitness of some of his players ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Champions final against Cote d'Ivoire.

The Portuguese International was speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of the final match. According to him, the team's midfielder, Zaidu Sanusi will be monitored despite having a light training earlier.

"Sanusi Zaidu had condition training yesterday, we will have the last training session today and we will check him if he will be available."

The midfielder suffered a knock in the quarter-final game against Angola which ruled him out of the semi-final clash against South Africa. Bright Osayi-Samuel was brought in by Peseiro as a replacement for Zaidu. However, we wait to see who will play the role in the game against Cote d'Ivoire.
