The Manchester Derby is the most watched in the English Premier League since Manchester City began their dominance in the League.

The game which was played at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, October 2nd, 2022 was the 187th game between both sides. Manchester City has dominated the tie in recent seasons and this game was not going to be an exception.
(1) Manchester City's duo of Erling Haaland and Phil Foden hat trick in the game saw them become the third side to have two hat trick scorers in a Premier League game. Arsenal vs Southampton in May 2003 (Jermaine Pennant, Robert Pires) & Leicester v Southampton in October 2019 (Ayoze Pérez, Jamie Vardy) were the other two games.
(2) Erling Haaland is the first Manchester City player to score a hat-trick versus Manchester United since Francis Lee in December 1970, and third overall (also Horace Barnes in Oct 1921).
