All eyes are finally on the 2025/2026 Premier League season as 2 championship clubs have been promoted to the first division.

Burnley has officially secured a return to the Premier League following a gritty 2-1 win over Sheffield United, confirming automatic promotion alongside Leeds United, making the two clubs the first of the three clubs to be confirmed ahead of the 2025/2026 season.

Under the guidance of manager Scott Parker, the Clarets have made a swift comeback to the top tier, just one year after their relegation. Their campaign has been marked by determination and a rock-solid defence. Josh Brownhill emerged as the star of the match, netting both goals to bring Burnley’s points tally to 94, putting them out of reach of third-placed Sheffield United.

This promotion campaign is especially notable as Burnley extended their unbeaten streak to 31 league games, setting a new club record. Their defensive resilience has been outstanding, conceding only 15 goals, the fewest in the Championship this season.

With two games still to play, Burnley and Leeds United are now neck and neck at the top of the table, setting up a thrilling race for the Championship crown. Sheffield United, meanwhile, will turn their attention to the play-offs, where they'll face competition from teams like Sunderland for the final promotion spot.

Burnley supporters can now anticipate another Premier League season, with hopes that Parker's side can firmly re-establish themselves in the top flight.
