"My names are Michael Osobase Ikpea a.k.a M-Base. Born on the 10th of July 1983. I'm a singer, songwriter and a music producer. I'm from a family of five; the first from my father and second from my mother. I hail from Edo state in the south-south part of Nigeria, but resides in Lagos. I started music in 2003 as a group and professionally as a solo act in 2005. I was once a part of a group called the Exceptionals. I started using the brand "M-Base" after been signed on a record label(Ephizzie records). I left two years later!!! (2007). Release so many singles back then, like 'How do u want it', 'Motiyo', 'Yahooze Makosa', 'Brand new day'!!! All these songs got massive airplay back then. Shot two videos with one having Denrele Edun, Miss Unilag and the next Movie star Belinda on it. Got an award for the most promising artist in 2008. (Ikeja All-stars award).
