Atlanta-based musician, businessman, activist and philanthropist, King Joel serves up his latest single “Ginger” released via Elision Records and available now on digital stores.

King Joel

King Joel wears many hats when it comes to the business of entertainment. He is a rapper, singer-songwriter, record producer and screenwriter. He is also the founder and CEO of Elision Records, a platform set up for his musical expression that covers subjects bordering on love & desire, human equality, social justice and allied matters. When King Joel is not in his musical element, you will find him in social activism where he advocates for the right processes and systems or otherwise responding to the call of missions; giving back to society and lifting others especially by rewarding creativity and educational excellence with all his philanthropy, which he says is a significant way of finding value to living.

King Joel made his music debut in 2017 and since then, he’s had a good run with consistent single releases and even an EP ‘I Am’ that was well received and met with very positive acclaim when it dropped. Having garnered a lot of appeal from music fans, he’s been itching to come back with a sequel; one that promises to be lit with collabos from top acts in Afrobeats. Although we might not be getting the Davido-assisted track just yet despite teasing a BTS clip from the video shoot on his social media, however, the arrival of this new record is indicative of the fact that the anticipated new EP is even closer to a tentative release.

King Joel’s brand-new single is titled “Ginger” and it is produced by one of Naija’s best, Spellz whose impressive resume of hits ranges from superstars like Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage and Wande Coal. King Joel matches the vibe of Spellz’s beautiful production with bold baritone vocals and local parables that make up the framework for conscious lyrics that he’s become known for. The message on the record is very clear and speaks for itself, and while it addresses real issues, it also allows you to slip into light gbedu mode. Listen here.
