PsychoYP Releases New EP, 'Euphoria' - LISTEN!
Uber-talented Nigerian rapper PsychoYP has released a new project, a 9-track EP tagged 'Euphoria.' The project features Alpha P, Trill Tega, J Molley, PatricKxxLee, and Rasstokyo.
Not many artists begin their careers with a series, a signal to the mixtape era of years past where trilogies and multiple instalments were commonplace. The class of artists who still attempt these sorts of compilations is a small one, further testament to YP’s growth over the last few years from budding Abuja artist to global African contender.
After his successful “YPSZN” brace, PsychoYP seems set to transcend his own limits and those placed upon him by detractors. By building a cult-like fan base and being arguably the most featured Nigerian artist of 2020, the emerging rapper is helping lead a pack of new wave musicians ready to spread his gospel of alternative hip-hop across Africa.

Influenced by a budding relationship with psychotropic influences, his latest project is a compilation of intercontinental records within the soundscape of Afro influenced trap music he helped pioneer since his early work.
On his first personal foray away from the YPSZN series, PsychoYP is proud to present his 9-track EP, ‘Euphoria’. ‘Euphoria’ takes a deep dive into PsychoYP’s journey; the conceptual project finds the rapper at his most braggadocios but introspective, questioning everything as he celebrates his wins so far. YP shows the different sides to himself as he opens up about family, his relationships with the Nigerian music business and his affiliation with some of the fastest rising hip-hop acts coming up independently in one of the world’s most cut-throat industries.

Maintaining his lauded collaborative record of accomplishment with long-time producers JayLon, SCXTT and Remy Baggins, he enlists a couple of new beatsmiths and engineers like Jabani, BTG, Malik Bawa, Big Fish, Ramoni and Shadow to help deliver this special body of work, a variety of sounds set to establish him internationally and locally as he continues to provide authentic trap music born from African roots.
