Chif Releases New Love-Themed Single 'Sade' | LISTEN

Chif is an Afrobeats singer-songwriter. Originally born as Chifulumunanya, Tony-Muoh in London, 1998

The Anambra state originated artist spent most of his childhood in Lagos state, though well travelled, which exposed him at a very young age to different cultures, traditions and music.

He developed most of his influences from his sense of exposure. An alumnus of Corona Primary school & Whitesands Secondary School. He taps into his song writing inspiration from a diverse exposure of soaking up elements of R&B, Pop, Reggae, and of course, Afrobeats to create his unique sound.

C H I F describes his sound as AfroPop\ Afro-fusion, a blend of different genres of music with an underlying sound of afrobeats. He said, “I am a product of my experiences and environment; and my music is a product of me.”

This enables him to be versatile, creating amazing music for everyone.  In 2022, he set to release SADE to further enhance his music exposure and attain greater heights with his sound. His approach to music is one that promises to keep him relevant in the music scene for a long time. Although C H I F is still on his journey, he is certain that music is his purpose and truly believes that everyone of us is destined for something greater.

On Sade, C H I F is telling his experience of what he felt was love at first sight with a beautiful woman he met, with the intension of marriage. “Lol growing up in a Nigerian society, marriage has been installed deep into my very being, it’s just something that we do as Nigerians and Africians”. The track is a love song that features smooth vocals, and groovy harmonies that will have you in your feelings.
