Ace Nigerian rapper Phyno has unveiled his highly anticipated fifth studio album, Full Time Job, a project that reflects his journey as an artist seamlessly blending his native culture with global music influences. This 15-track album highlights Phyno’s unique ability to deliver an extraordinary fusion of singing and rapping, both in English and his native dialect, showcasing his versatility and artistry.

Full Time Job stands out as Phyno’s most dynamic body of work yet, featuring collaborations with some of the most exciting names in music, including Burna Boy, Fave, Chip, Aredee, Cheque, Flavour, NSG, and Johnny Drille. The album encapsulates Phyno's vision of exporting his culture through music while creating a sound that resonates across borders.

The album opens with the commanding "It’s Nothing," setting the stage for a journey through Phyno’s world — a world that balances confidence, introspection, and deep cultural pride. Standout tracks include "Back Outside" featuring Cheque, the energetic anthem "Eyes On Them" with Chip, and the buzzing single "Time Of My Life" featuring Arrdee. Phyno's ability to blend lyrical prowess with melodic undertones is evident in "Deep" featuring Fave, and the soulful "Sweet Karma" with Johnny Drille.

The album also features the previously released singles "DO I," both the original and remix featuring Burna Boy, which elevated the song to new heights, making it one of the biggest hits in the country. Tracks like "Men Don Show Face" featuring Flavour and "Pinterest" with NSG continue to push the boundaries of Phyno’s musical exploration, connecting Nigeria to the global stage.

With his effortless blend of singing and rapping, Phyno’s work transcends genre, offering a musical experience that crosses borders. Full Time Job reaffirms his place as one of Africa’s most influential artists, with a sound rooted in authenticity and a vision for global reach.

Phyno, born Chibuzo Nelson Azubike, is a Nigerian-born Rapper, Songwriter, and CEO of the Indigenous music imprint Penthauze Music. Influenced by rap icons like 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G. and hometown heroes like Mr RAW and MC Loph, Phyno admired their raw, authentic delivery and aspired to bring that same energy to his music.

Phyno began his musical journey in 2010 when Nigerian rap music began flourishing. His first introduction to the Nigerian Mainstream came through the monstrous classic record ‘Anam Achi Kwanu’ where he was featured by the veteran rapper Illbliss. He has also collaborated with other industry heavyweights such as Naeto C, M.I Abaga, Flavour, Timaya and many others, setting the tone for his musical trajectory. Despite early scepticism from purists, Phyno’s blending of rap and Indigenous sounds was revolutionary, leading to the successful crossover of Indigenous rap into mainstream Nigerian music.

His breakthrough single, “Ghost Mode” featuring Olamide in 2012, cemented his position as one of the leading shapers of the modern Nigerian rap music culture. His debut album, 'No Guts, No Glory' (2014), fused brash, confident rap with more personal and communal themes, further establishing him as a formidable force in African music. Songs like “Fada Fada” and albums like 'The Playmaker' and 'Deal With It' further demonstrated his versatility, embracing both rap and Highlife influences.

With over a decade and counting in the game, Phyno now sets his gaze on global acclaim, seeking to even push more boundaries with his talent and ability to merge genres.
