Yemi Alade responds to fan who claims she is better than Tiwa Savage

Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade has responded to a fan who tried to compare her to fellow singer, Tiwa Savage.

The two artists, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage, are prominent figures in Nigeria's music scene, and there has been speculation about a rivalry between their fanbases.

The singer, who delivered an electrifying performance at the opening ceremony of the 2023 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire, dispelled any notion of rivalry or competition when she responded to a fan's negative comment about Tiwa Savage on social media (X) on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

This occurred after Yemi Alade posted a video captioned "Africa, our time is NOW!!," a fan made a derogatory remark about Tiwa Savage, claiming, "U better than tiwa."

Yemi Alade swiftly countered the comment, stating, "Comparison is the thief of Joy. We’re both winning…. celebrate and support us all."
