The genre of Afrobeat, along with its accomplished artists, remains in a position of continued prominence and influence. Jeymes Samuel has enlisted Yemi Alade and Adekunle Gold to feature on the soundtrack for his upcoming film 'Book of Clarence'.

The Book of Clarence is a 2024 adventure film written and produced by British songwriter and filmmaker Jeymes Samuel. The film is set to premiere on January 12, 2024. The musical score will feature Yemi Alade and Adekunle Gold, along with other international artists like Doja Cat, Jay-Z, Lil' Wayne, Jorja Smith, and others. British Ghanaian actor Eric Kofi-Abrefa, Nigerian-American actor Babs Olusanmokun, and David Oyelowo will also featured in the film.

Adekunle Gold will make his debut feature in an international film, contrasting with Yemi Alade, who was previously featured on Beyoncé's Black is King album.

The album was a visual companion to the 2019 album 'The Lion King: The Gift', curated by Beyoncé for the film The Lion King. Mama Africa, a popular moniker for Yemi Alade, collaborated with Tekno and Beyoncé on the song 'Don't Jealous Me'.

The Book of Clarence is a bold new take on the timeless Hollywood-era Biblical epic. Streetwise but struggling, Clarence (LaKeith Stanfield) is trying to find a better life for himself and his family, make himself worthy to the woman he loves, and prove that he’s not a nobody.

Captivated by the power and glory of the rising Messiah and His apostles, he risks everything to carve his own path to a divine life, a journey through which he finds redemption faith, power, and knowledge.
