Wizkid’s latest album hits major streaming milestone

Afrobeats icon Wizkid has reached another impressive streaming milestone, as his latest album, Morayo, overtakes Sounds from the Other Side to become his second most-streamed album on Spotify.
According to updated streaming data, Morayo by Wizkid has amassed 264 million streams on Spotify, surpassing the 261 million streams of his 2017 project, Sounds from the Other Side.
Released in 2024, Morayo has captivated audiences with its seamless blend of Afrobeats rhythms, soulful vocal delivery, and star-studded collaborations. The album’s success further cements Wizkid’s status as a dominant force in global music, pushing the boundaries of the genre.
Despite this new milestone, Morayo still trails behind Made in Lagos, Wizkid’s record-breaking album, which remains his most-streamed project to date. However, with its steady momentum, fans are now speculating whether Morayo could eventually challenge Made in Lagos for the top spot.
