Wizkid has set a new record at NAACP awards for Nigerian music with his hit song 'Essence' ft. Tems and Justin Bieber.
Multiple award-winning singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid had bagged two awards at the 53rd edition of the non-televised honors, the NAACP awards for the Outstanding International song of the Year with 'Essence' featuring Tems and Justin Bieber, and also the Outstanding Music Video/Visual Album also with 'Essence.'
The NAACP awards on the second day of its 6 day-long events on February 25, 2022, congratulated and announced Wizkid with 'Essence' that features Tems and Justin Bieber on the remix the winner of the two categories.

The awards made Wizkid the most awarded Nigerian at the NAACP awards after winning a total of four awards in his music career.
