Grammy award-winning singer Wizkid has been confirmed as the only Nigerian artist to do this in 2023.

Multiple award-winning singer, songwriter and performer, Wizkid has been confirmed as the Nigerian artist that will be joining some of the biggest names in the industry for the Glastonbury Festival 2023, which will hold in the UK from the 21st to the 25th of June 2023.

Wizkid would be performing alongside artists such as Elton John, Lizzio, Guns N Roses, Artic Monkey, Lil Nas X, Lana De Rey, Lewis Capaldi, The War on Drugs, Chvches, Alt-J, Blondie, Carly Rae Jepsen, Central Cee, Christine and the Queens, Fatboy Slim, Hot Chip, Joey Bada$$, Kelis, Maggie Rogers, Manic Street Preachers, Rina Sawayama, Phoenix, Royal Blood, Slowthai, Sparks, Sudan Archives, Thundercat and Weyes Blood, among many others.

The organizers of the event revealed that the lineup is balanced, consisting of the same number of male and female artists. According to Billboard the co-organizer Emily Eavis revealed in a December note revealed:

“It gives me enormous pleasure to let you know that the one and only Elton John will be making his first ever Glastonbury appearance, headlining the Pyramid Stage on the Sunday night next year. “This will be the final U.K. show of Elton’s last ever tour, so we will be closing the Festival and marking this huge moment in both of our histories with the mother of all send offs. We are so very happy to finally bring the Rocket Man to Worthy Farm.”
