Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy & Others Feature On Youtube's Top 20 Nigerian Songs of the Decade
Nigerian artistes are doing massive numbers: there is no doubt about that. Over the past decade, as Nigerian music continues to push through to the global scene, its songs [and videos] have become hot property, amassing huge numbers across streaming platforms.
Arguably the biggest platform there is, Youtube has made public its "Top 20 Nigerian Songs of the Decade." This is of course, purely number-based. Predictably, artistes like Davido, Wizkid, P Square, and Yemi Alade made the list. More illuminating however, would be the presence of gospel acts like Sinach (who featured twice) and Ada Jesus. No doubt, gospel has risen to become one of the more commercially-viable genres in the country.
