Wizkid celebrates his mother’s posthumous birthday

Ahead of his upcoming album, Wizkid took to Twitter today to express his grief on the birthday of his late mother. 

This is because today, July 4, 2024 is her posthumous birthday. In a heartfelt message, Wizkid addressed his mother as "the love of my life" and poured out his emotions on the first birthday he's celebrating without her.

"Miss you everyday," Wizkid wrote. "First one without you here feels unreal. Nothing makes sense without you mama! Life is empty without you. Continue to watch over us! My heart is broken forever!"

The tweet revealed the immense pain Wizkid is experiencing. He recounted specific memories, saying, "Your smile is all a memory I will never forget. Your laugh! Your hugs and kisses. I miss you dearly!"

The message ends with an outpouring of love, "love you love love you MORAYO mi," followed by two red hearts.

Wizkid's fans have flooded social media with messages of condolences and support.
