Wizkid sets career milestone on the UK Albums chart with 'Morayo'

Wizkid has achieved a career milestone ranking on the UK Official Albums Chart with his highly anticipated album, 'Morayo.'

Following the release of one of the most anticipated albums of 2024, 'Morayo,' multiple award-winning singer and performer Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has achieved what many have categorised as a career milestone on the UK Official Albums Chart by debuting at number 14 on the chart.

Wizkid who has now debuted a total of 4 projects on the Chart in the UK received his highest debut spot with 'Morayo' at number 14 in the first week of tracking surassing his initial spot of 15 with the highly acclaimed 'Made In Lagos' album that changed the trajectory of African music.

The album 'Morayo' has continued to set and break existing streaming records on the digital streaming platform Spotify as it recorded the highest numbers of streams in the first week of release for an African album breaking the existing record held by South Africa's Tyla.

'Morayo' is expected to record a debut on the Billboard 200 chart scheduled for release on Monday December 2, 2024.
