American award-winning actor Will Smith has responded to the academy's decision to ban him for ten years following the 2022 Oscar slap.
The prolific actor recently received a 10-year ban from the Academy from the Oscars and other academy-related events following his decision to slap fellow actor Chris Rock at the just concluded Oscars.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science, which had initially planned a disciplinary hearing for April 18, 2022, met virtually on Friday, April 1, 2022, to discuss disciplinary action.
According to American outfit Page Six, Will Smith, in a brief statement today, April 8, 2022, accepted the academy's decision and respected it. He said:
