The American singer, Chris Brown was arrested on May 15, 2025, in Manchester, UK.

Chris Brown was confirmed to have been arrested in Manchester, UK, in the early hours of May 15, 2025, in connection with an alleged assault that took place at a London nightclub in February 2023.

The arrest occurred at The Lowry Hotel, where the American R&B singer was staying ahead of his scheduled performances in the UK.

The charges stem from an incident at Tape nightclub in Mayfair, where Brown is accused of attacking music producer Abraham Diaw. According to legal documents, Brown allegedly struck Diaw over the head with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila, knocking him unconscious.

It is further claimed that Brown continued to stomp on Diaw while he was on the ground, leaving him with severe injuries, including head lacerations and torn ligaments.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.

The arrest follows an ongoing investigation into the alleged assault, which Diaw also addressed in a formal lawsuit, stating the attack was unprovoked and captured on surveillance footage.

Brown’s arrest comes just days before the launch of his “Breezy Bowl XX” tour, which includes several stops across the UK. While he remains in custody, it is unclear whether the tour schedule will be affected.

As of now, Brown’s representatives have not released a statement regarding the arrest. Legal proceedings are expected to continue as authorities evaluate the evidence related to the case.
