In a recent interview, the award-winning singer reflected on the period when he was inactive and not releasing new music. According to Davido, it was during that break that he truly realized the extent of his influence and connection with audiences.

He recounted how both fans and industry insiders repeatedly urged him to make a comeback, noting that even his critics seemed to miss his presence.

“I knew people loved me because when I wasn’t active, the whole industry shut down,” Davido shared. “It was so quiet out there. Even the fans that hate me were like, ‘Please come back, we need to diss you.’”
