Tyla shares snippet of new song and confirms album title following 2026 Grammys win
Following her 2026 Grammys win, singer Tyla has shared a snippet of a new song while confirming the title of her new album.
Fresh off her big night at the 2026 Grammy Awards, Tyla has revealed the title of her second studio album. Backstage after clinching her second Grammy this time for Best African Music Performance with her hit “Push 2 Start”, the South African star made the exciting announcement.
“I just want to announce something,” Tyla told reporters. “My sophomore album is coming out this summer, and it’s called A-POP.”
Though she didn’t share many specifics about the project, she promised fans new music “very soon.” The 24-year-old has built a reputation for fusing pop and R&B with amapiano, a mix that many describe as “popiano.”
“It’s going to feel different. It’s not a new me just more of who I am now,” she said. “I was 21, 22 before. Now at 24, I really feel like a woman, with more to say and new energy to bring… I’m so excited.”
Fans also spotted a hidden hint about the album name in the visuals for her #1 Afrobeats smash “Chanel,” where “A-POP” briefly appears about 52 seconds into the video.
To celebrate her Grammy win, Tyla took to social media on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 and shared a new video that includes a short snippet of an upcoming song from the forthcoming album, giving fans an early taste of what’s to come.
“It’s going to be crazy,” she added, referencing the project that’s already building major anticipation.
