Timaya reveals why he admires Portable

Nigerian singer Timaya has shared his admiration for controversial singer Portable, citing similarities between their personalities.

In an interview with Channels Television, Timaya reminisced about discovering Portable's music and noted their shared traits. "That's why I like Portable; he reminds me of myself. I was a crazy guy," Timaya said.

Meanwhile, Timaya acknowledged his current reputation as 'unproblematic' but revealed his wild past, stating, "Gen Z's don't know me. I was really crazy, hot like fire, but there's growth."

Additionally, addressing a long-standing rumor, Timaya denied having a negative encounter with military personnel, calling it untrue. "It was all a strategy," he explained.
