Nigerian singer Timaya has once again pushed back the release date of his highly anticipated ninth studio album, Gladiator.

The album was initially scheduled to drop on June 21st, but was delayed to July 12th. However, in a surprise move, Timaya took to Instagram today, Wednesday, August 7, to announce a new release date of August 15, 2024.

The Afrobeat superstar shared the update with his fans. He wrote: "#Gladiator Album number 9, 18years since True Story and I’m not stopping! Aug 15th! Get ready!"

Despite the repeated delays, fans are eagerly awaiting the album's release, which promises to be a powerful collection of tracks. Gladiator follows the success of the lead single Cold Outside featuring BNXN and this year's collaboration with Tiwa Savage, In My Head.

While the reason for the delay remains unknown, Timaya's assurance that the wait will be worthwhile has fans excited for the album's eventual release on August 15.
